Choose payment preferences and harvest schedule availability. Once you are a verified member, available trade offers based on your geographic region arrive to you via SMS text or Email (based on your preferences).
I am a forager and I am interested in the Forager project how do I join?
Join via Social.RurApp.com and register as a producer. Once we verify your details we will provide full membership information and identify a relevant forager project that you can join.
I am a farmer or forager in a remote rural location but I do not have data connectivity, I do not have a smart phone and I do not use APP's how can RurApp help me?
All a farmer needs to trade with RurApp is a simple mobile phone with text capacity to receive and answer trade enquires. In designing this efficient rural trade system, much of the process flow design has centered on transparent scaling and payment authentication in any rural environment. Our challenge was further to design the solution WITHOUT requirement for mobile data access. With this transaction authentication system now available from RurApp to farmers with the smallest of farms means that now they can access an efficient, transparent trade system that is managed via intelligent data syndication matching trade and logistic parameters.
What happens when farmers are linked to a live RurApp project?
Once RurApp links you to a live project we expect that you understand the importance of supplier reliability in terms of following specification and communicating harvest quantities. Does RurApp buy?
No. RurApp is not the buyer but fulfills the role of a service provider coordinating and verifying the trade, traceability, logistics & sustainability function on behalf of the registered project buyers and the foragers. The project buyers are existing businesses with a commitment to ethical & sustainable business practices. RurApp projects are designed with a collaborative focus between buyer demand and required agricultural support infrastructure (i.e. storage, processing, packaging, transport, market inspection/grading and payments.

How does RurApp earn revenue?
RurApp has a fee structure that is paid for via the buyer. The forager (and in other projects the farmer) accesses market or better prices without any fee, commission and so forth. The service is completely paid for by the business buyer.
The business buyer essentially shares with RurApp savings in logistical costs. The logistical costs for companies to deal with dozens or even hundreds/ thousands of farmers and any associated value chain is very high. What type of fees do buyers get charged?
All RurApp project buyers, via Project logistic fees contribute to RurApp weighing station fees including, processing weigh volumes, traceability administration & tracker codes, load & unload fees, storage fees, etc The buyers of the agricultural products supplied by the Client Organisation are provided with a full traceability report for their entire purchase. This includes, harvest/pick up date and Rural area where the product came from. This capacity is known as food traceability, which, is the ultimate way to sell food and can attract loyal buyers who subsequently use the traceability factor to provide assurance to their customers. Terms may differ depending on the partner, product or circumstance.
Does produce get sold with the RurApp logo on packaging & consumer marketing?
No. The RurApp technology system works behind projects as a service provider. You will not necessarily see the RurApp logo on any final consumer directed marketing material. In the case of our sourcing & group buy deployments many brands/distribution points can exist on the buy side. Each buyer individually processes the ingredients to a variety of type of products via B2B buyers in various consumer markets. In the case of our licensed clients, all traceability data is exclusively branded by the licensee.
How does RurApp collaborate fair trade prices, sustainability and training to the farmer network?
The RurApp business model is focused on collaboration of both the buyer and farmers as well as technical consultants. Matters related to sustainability, fair trade and ethical matters related to any farmed or foraged produce is encouraged. Whilst RurApp buyers can post their interest in sourcing any available ingredient, the feedback, guidance and risk issues identified regarding the specific requested harvest and/or any ethical matters, is always considered in collaboration wih the farmer buyers.

How does RurApp Identify risks and implement technology controls?
RurApp project leaders identify risk issues to be under the headings of sustainability or safety. Specifically we mean the health, safety and wellbeing of the farmer or forager and any person who consumes the ingredient. To ensure safe identification of foraged items project buyers are directed to provide relevant information. This information is posted to the public forum such that commentary and further pointers from the community can be readily viewed by RurApp technicians. All project buyers are responsible to identify, inspect and accept the supplied produce and take responsibility that the safety of their consumers.
In the case of client managed, licensed RurApp deployments, the operating licensee is responsible for all such issues and RurApp embedded technology controls make such necessary quality/safety protocols simple to control.

Does RurApp have any future plans for the forager sector?
Current RurApp forager projects are managed with digital verification protocols in accordance to ethical and sustainability matters. Furthermore, RurApp is undergoing a technical development towards the launching of a forager project specific APP in the near future. Further announcements via press release over the next few months.
I am a business seeking the supply of sustainable, clean, fair traded produce, how do I set up a trade & traceability service contract with RurApp ?

Where can a farmer grow their produce?
Upon application to join RurApp farmers must indicate their location and already have land rights or permission to farm on the land.
Where can a forager collect their produce?
All foragers are independent contractors/ self business operators. Foragers have the responsibility to respect private property and park rules. It is important to note that American Indians are entitled to a forager permit in most national parks due to cultural history of foraging. General forager permits may or may not be available or required depending on which park/ state.
How do Farmers get paid?
Situations may vary however typically each RurApp deployment has individual payment options related to the country and operator preferences. Bank and cash payments is possible but, digital payments are preferred due to the transparency and speed advantages. RurApp technology can integrate with virtually any digital payment system now available from local banks in many countries. We are pleased to set up projects between buyers, foragers and landowners. The arrangement is fully verified and payment arrangements can include royalty payments on collected produce.
In the United States, we are very interested in working with homestead owners who have old and wild trees planted by original settlers. Forager projects can also be used to assist the removal or maintenance of pest weeds, which, to foragers and their buyers, are actually nutritious and exciting produce.
Around the world, we can also locate organic/non GMO farming partnership opportunities for landowners with excess arable, uncommitted land.
